How to Practice Confidence

Okay, so we know that confidence is important. We have talked about why people are confident and where confidence comes from and now in the final installment of the quest for confidence, we will look at how you ensure you bring confidence into everything.

The biggest thing you will need to do in building your confidence and bringing it with you is overcome your fear. You are good enough. You are smart enough. Yes, of course we all have room to grow, but you have reason to be confident.

Build awareness of how fear shows up ““ in its many forms. Look for places where you aren’t fully engaging in your work and for times when you’re avoiding circumstances. Look for the signs of fear. When you see the signs look into them to find out what might be causing them to show up.

Remember that fear can actually be extremely useful as it’s a great red flag for something that you haven’t yet learned about yourself. It’s guiding right to those areas that, if you focus on and face them, will provide you the greatest room for improvement which in turn allows you to move forward in leaps and bounds in your career. Fear should be welcome. The more you face it, the greater your development and the larger your comfort zone grows.

As your comfort zone grows ““ so does your confidence. It’s that simple. The more you understand yourself and your strengths ! and your weaknesses, the more equipped you are to be a leader and have confidence. Sometimes having confidence is knowing and understanding that you don’t know everything.

It’s nothing to fear. It’s a fact. You have every right to be confident.
